The compact readers in the SHT series are available for LF (125 kHz), HF (13.56 MHz) and UHF (868 MHz) frequencies and are complemented by the SHT-2020 HF reader (13.56 MHz).

The new design of the robust SHT-2020 hand-held scanner with its large handle and trowel shape is ideal for capturing transponders on large surfaces. It is easy to operate with just one button.

By default, the device is configured so that all transponders in the field are read at the touch of a button. To save power, the device switches itself off after a while if no new transponders are read.

The battery has sufficient capacity for an operating time of 8 to 10 hours. The battery can also be charged wirelessly or via USB.

The read TAG data is sent via Bluetooth LE or WiFi to a docking station, a PC, a smart phone or a tablet, where it can be displayed or further processed.

In keyboard mode, the connection to existing systems is as simple as that of a barcode reader. In WLAN mode, the TAG data can be sent directly to a PC or server. Here the device behaves similarly to a stationary reader.  

To simplify the connection to a PC even further, the SBS-1010 USB base station can be ordered at the same time. In this case, the reader is already programmed and the base station can be connected to the USB port of the PC without any further configuration. In addition to emulating a USB keyboard, the data can also be output via a virtual serial interface.

The new versions of SimpleDemo and SMan now support the RFID handheld readers of the SHT-2000 series.
